Rep. Jackson Celebrates Export Control Bill Passing the House

WASHINGTON —  Yesterday, Congressman Ronny Jackson’s (TX-13) bill, the Maintaining American Superiority by Improving Export Control Transparency Act, was passed by the U.S. House of Representatives. This legislation would provide critical information to Congress and the Trump Administration on all export license applications, including applicant identity, recipient details, final decisions, and compliance measures. This will improve oversight of American-made technologies exported overseas while prioritizing our national security and supporting responsible international trade. Senators Jim Banks (R-IN) and Mark Warner (D-VA) are leading companion legislation in the Senate.

"The House’s passage of my legislation represents a major victory for American national security and technological leadership," said Rep. Ronny Jackson. "With ever increasing collaboration between hostile nations against our interests, we're delivering Congress the tools necessary to support President Trump as he works to protect our most sensitive technologies. This bill strengthens our national security while preserving the freedom American innovators need to continue developing the world’s leading technologies.”
