WASHINGTON — Yesterday, Congressman Ronny Jackson (TX-13) celebrated the passage of his Maintaining American Superiority by Improving Export Control Transparency Act in the Senate. This legislation will provide Congress and the Trump administration with critical tools to improve oversight of American-made technologies going to foreign countries while strengthening our national security by improving transparency in the export control system. Representative Sara Jacobs (D-CA) co-led the legislation in the House, and Senators Jim Banks (R-IN) and Mark Warner (D-VA) led companion legislation in the Senate.

“With the Senate’s passage of the Maintaining American Superiority by Improving Export Control Transparency Act, we are one step closer to this vital legislation becoming law,” said Rep. Ronny Jackson. “This bill delivers targeted safeguards to keep advanced, American-made technologies out of the hands of our foreign adversaries such as China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea, and my bill reinforces President Trump’s mission to strengthen our strategic advantage in an increasingly dangerous world.”
