Rep. Jackson Introduces Legislation to Block Joe Biden’s Efforts to Surrender U.S. Sovereignty to the World Health Organization

WASHINGTON — Today, Congressman Ronny Jackson (TX-13) introduced the Protecting American Sovereignty Act to prevent the Biden Administration from surrendering U.S. sovereignty to the World Health Organization (WHO) through the proposed Global Pandemic Treaty. Specifically, the legislation prohibits the use of taxpayer dollars from carrying out the treaty, therefore blocking it from taking effect. Jackson said: “Since the onset of COVID-19, the WHO has proven to be as corrupt as its leaders are incompetent. The WHO was complicit in helping the Chinese Communist Party cover up COVID-19’s initial spread and origin, yet Joe Biden wants to give them control over public health matters in America. It’s an insult to every American citizen who has been affected by the pandemic, and I will not stay silent as this farce of a treaty is negotiated behind the American peoples’ backs. Joe Biden should be leading the charge to abolish rogue, anti-American organizations like the WHO, not surrendering American sovereignty to people who side with communist regimes. This administration is America Last!” Bill text can be found here. Original cosponsors of the legislation include Representatives Tom Emmer (MN-06), Mike Bost (IL-12), Rodney Davis (IL-13), Pete Sessions (TX-17), Louie Gohmert (TX-01), Michael Cloud (TX-27), August Pfluger (TX-11), Diana Harshbarger (TN-01), Rob Wittman (VA-01), Greg Steube (FL-17), Michael Waltz (FL-06), Andy Biggs (AZ-05), Jeff Duncan (SC-03), Ralph Norman (SC-05), Bill Posey (FL-08), Austin Scott (GA-08), Carlos Gimenez (FL-26), Mary Miller (IL-15), and Paul Gosar (AZ-04). ### |
